Philip Petrie (M.Ed.Stud, B.Nursing, RN, JP, MAICD, MFIA) Philip has worked at Allevia since 2004. He has worked in many roles in the community services and health sectors since 1981 including in government and non-government organisations. He is a specialist in organisational change, governance, and leadership, but has considerable clinical experience in behaviour and lifestyle support for people with a disability and a mental illness. He leads the Allevia team and works closely with the Board, also filling the role of Company Secretary. Through his role at Allevia, Philip's aim is for the community to see people with a disability in a different way - where disability is not quite a liability, where doors open for them and opportunities are created, and where progress is possible.
